It happens to EVERYONE. The entire time the "nice guy" is fawning over some girl that isn't interested, 9 times out of 10, there's a girl behing HIM just waiting for him to stop chasing Girl #1 and notice HER. And so on and so forth.<br/><br/>Everyone wants what they can't have. That's human nature. "Nice guys" don't have it any different than anyone else, they are just convinced that they do.<br/><br/>As Bonnie Raitt said, "I can't make you love me if you don't. You can't make your heart feel something it won't." Simple as that. Learning to deal with unrequited feelings is part of growing up. So is losing some of the wide-eyed innocence of youth, and gaining a certain amount of cynicism.<br/><br/>Another great lady, Maya Angelou, penned my favorite saying regarding youth and mistakes: "When I was young, I did what I knew to do. And when I knew better, I did better." Amen, sister.<br/><br/>Keep on keeping on.
