Greenday was one (still is) of my favorite bands when I was younger. I pretty much listened to their album Dookie non-stop in 8th grade. Here is one of my favorite songs off of that album.

Now and then, and Buckcherry found theirs. I HATE Buckcherry. They are a terrible terrible band.  Ever song I’ve heard on the radio does nothing but annoy the hell out of me until now… Their song Crazy Bitch has been getting tons of radio play here, and the song has grown on me. I hated it at first, but I got the hook stuck in my head every time I heard it. Let’s have a look at their video and read of the lyrics.

My buddy Mike is planning on coming up from California the first weekend in March. We’re going to attempt to record a three song demo. I’m hoping to record Fighting Myself, Pill, and Goodbye. I can’t wait. These songs are all about love loss. I’ll be titling the demo “The Heart Half Empty”. If anyone wants a copy let me know. I’d be willing to ship them out.

This weekend I wrote a new song. I then wanted to know what I looked like when I sing. So I recorded this. Here’s a webcam video of my new song “Fighting Myself”.

I know all I’ll being blogging lately is my music, but I really do have anything else to blog. I’m been stuck in training at work for 4 weeks now, so nothing cool has really happened. Anja works on Saturdays so I’m forced to entertain myself. I’ve found the best way to entertain myself is with my music. So I write it, record it, and then make you, the innocent blog reader, listen to it. It’s a vicious cycle.

This weekend I have yet another song for your listening pleasure. I’ve also took some photos so you can get a look inside my living room/great room makeshift crappy studio. I guess because of my lack of a real studio I’m never TRULY happy with my recording quality. Plus, I’m not recording engineer. I’m just some dumb ass with a computer and a microphone.

I fired up my living room studio again and busted out another recording today. I wish I knew a drummer up here to jam with. I really have no drumming or drum programing skils.

I re-recorded a song. I think this is my best vocal outing so far. I just need a drummer to record with, or at least someone that know how to program drums. I just dumped a drum loop in the background of this song to give a slight hint of drums. Let me know what you think.

I recorded this in my home studio (A.K.A. the living room), and I am by no means a recording engineer, so it’s not the best recording. This recording is just preproduction for my dream of one day recording a full album.
