This is my other brother Daryl.
This is my second attempt at making a Dust Tape Wallet. It’s way better then my first.
I gave it to Kent. He really liked my first one.
Patricia got my an awesome electric guitar orniment to match the acoustic one she got me last year.
Have a good weekend!

Snow on Sunday…
And now the snow turned into a bunch of ice!
Driving to work was lots of fun.
I need to work on making better photo blogs. I used to be semi good at it.
Thanksgiving Photos
Posted by jim in Holliday, Photo Blog on December 1st, 2008
We trekked down to uncivilization for Thanksgiving. After work on Wednesday we loaded up the car and hit the road for Merlin to visit my mom. We only made it half way and crashed at a hotel. We finished the trip Thursday morning. We got there started cooking, had a pre-Christmas gift exchange, ate, watched football, and had good times. Friday we’re pretty low key. We saw Four Christmasas and hit up Walmart for a little Black Friday shopping. Saturday we went to the Rogue River National Forest and Crater Lake. Sunday we drove home. Here are some photos.

It’s a good day to look at photos.

Team Day pt. 2
Posted by jim in Photo Blog, Work on August 14th, 2008
Ah Team Day. I’m beginning to think that Team Day = Misery. Last year it was hot and the air was completely stagnant, and when you add that to a day at the boring Japanese Garden you could out with a big’ol bucket of terribleness. I expected this year to be less miserable then last year, and it was to an extent.
As soon as 12 noon rolled around I logged off my computer, and head over to my old team to see what the plan was. No real plan, just meet at the gate. I jumped in the car and drove over. I called Patricia while on the way. She was one of the team day coordinators and was already at the zoo. She had good news. It was 2 dollar Tuesday and it was busy as hell. YAY!!! Lots of screaming kids! Sweet! Soon I was at the zoo exit on Hwy 26 and HOLY SHIT! That’s a hella long line! The exit was full and cars were stopped on the freeway waiting for the exit. Shit!
After waiting I pull up to the main parking lot and there were flaggers and a lady holding a sign that said “All Lots Full.” They were turning people away and were shouting “Park on the street! Good Luck!” Assholes…

That damn Turkey Vulture was supposed to fly over everyone and back to the stage, but hopped down to try and steal some human food.

We then just walked around looking at random sad animals. We were supposed to meet up at 3:30pm at the train station to take a train ride around the zoo and then go home at 4:30. Well, the line was for an hour. Then the ride was 40 minutes. Not a good plan in my book. While in line one of the trains broke down. It was their longest train. That pushed our wait out to over 2 hours. We bailed and got snow cones. By 4 o’clock we were released.

So that was a team day. Better then last year, but still kinda over all sucky. I can’t wait for my new team’s team day.

Another Trip To California
Posted by jim in Photo Blog, travel on July 2nd, 2008
So I made a trip back to California for the 3rd time in a little over 2 months, but this time Patricia and Molly came with me. We were planning on going to the Grand Canyon, but with the price of airfare on the rise we thought it would be cheaper to drive somewhere… and it was. Flights for the 3 of us would have been over a grand, then we still would have rented a car and paid for gas. We ended up just renting a car and driving to California. We had the trip pretty much planned out. Something scheduled each day, but nothing with a real set time frame.
There was apparently a biker “Redwood Run” the weekend we drove down. We saw THOUSANDS or bikers camped out along a river. We were too awestruck to take a photo. Sorry. I really wish we would have. It was impressive. I couldn’t see any patches of earth under the bikes and tents. They were packed in that close.
Friday we spent at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. We saw sea cretcures, ate, shopped, and looked around. It was fun.
After the jetboat ride we packed up and high tailed it home. We were tired. Patricia Mother was in from Andover, MA, and we need to meet up with her and Patricia’s sisters. We still haven’t gotten settled in. We’ve been on the go for the last week. This 3 day weekend will be nice. I need a vacation from our vacation.
Dustin & Danielle’s Wedding
Posted by jim in Photo Blog, travel on June 2nd, 2008
WOW! What a trip. I had loads of good times, and I’m not tired. I guess a 2 hours nap and 9 hours of sleep will help cure that. I took an ass load of photos this weekend. Over 120. I only have a few to share with you today, because I have some special plans for them. I wanted to do something special for Dustin so I devised the plan of the “Best Man Cam”. I’m going to get this photos printed up into a nice album for him. Sure they’re gonna have a gajillion super nice photos from the ninja of a photographer they hired (She blogs too), but my photos are more behind the scene and crapy by comparison to the before mentioned photographer. So here is how it went down.
I took friday off of work, woke up WAY too god damn early in the morning, and drove my happy ass to the airport. My flight left at 7am. I landed in Oakland about 8:30. I got my rental car and drove back to the airport to pick up Jeb who’s flight arrived about an hour after mine. Then we hit the road to Concord. We stopped at Nino’s house and hung out there for a while. We bought WAY too much food to BBQ because people were supposed to show up and kick it with us, but backed out. Just for the record. 8lbs of meat to make tacos is WAAAAAAAY too much for food 3 grown ass men to consume, but we tried… Oh did we try.
I then had to go to the mall and pick up my Tux. Good thing I tried it on. My pants we just a liiiiittle short. The dude remeasured them and they we about 3 inches short. I went back to Nino’s for a couple more hours, and then back to the mall to pick up my altered tux. I didn’t try on my pants do to time constrains, but there were still a little short. They must have been 4.5 inches short. Oh well.
Saturday morning they boys met up at Chick’s doughnuts. MMMMM GOOD!!! They don’t just do doughnuts. They have a full on menu. 3 out of 4 of us ordered the county fried steak with gravy. Tasty! After breakfast Dustin and I went to Target. He needed some new boxer shorts. I tried to get him to buy bikini briefs to wear for the wedding night *wink wink nudge nudge*, but no dice (sissy). He just went with lavender boxers. I’m sure he looked pretty in them for Dani. Back to the apartment we went to shower and get ready.

We got to the wedding and loaded our jacket pockets with booze that John picked up. We then got some glasses of ice from the bartender (only serving beer and wine) and poured ourselves some drinks. We took some photos, greeted guests, had the mothers pin some flowers on us and got the show on the road.
After all was said and done a small group of us headed to a local bar for drinks. Much to our surprise it was a karaoke bar. Most of us sang, some of us danced, and we had good times. We were there for a few hours until the bride and groom decided to spend the rest of the evening alone.Doing My Best Man Duties

Last weekend I flew to California for Dustin’s Bachelor party. It wasn’t organized very well, and I feel a little bad about that. It took at while to figure out what we wanted to do. There was talk of a private striper (He’s fiance shot that down quick like), going to S.F., or going to Reno, NV. Dustin finally decided on Reno. Dustin gave me a list of 20 or something people to invite. Counting Dustin and myself… 6 people came. Well… 7 if you include one of Dustin’s old co-workers that was already there with his family. He was just able to tag along with us for several hours. Even though the only real plans were a rental car, hotel room, booze and boobs we had a great time. Here’s how the weekend unfolded.
