Did anyone miss me? Doubt you did.

Nearly 2 years have past since I’ve made a real post on my blog. Looking at my statistics the only posts that are getting any hits at all are my Wii Fit Weight Limit Hack, and my post of Things NOT To Do While Pooping. So, I’m glad people are reading the important things about me.

I know your all dying to know what I’ve been up to. Well, before I get to that I’d like to take a moment and blame my Twitter and Facebook account for sucking away my time, and blogging desire, due to easy access to quickly fart out what ever thoughts come to my mind. OK, so for the last two years I’ve been doing the same stuff I was before I stopped blogging. I work, lose weight, gain weight, try to lose weight again, play guitar, and hang out with my girls (Girlfriend and her daughter). The only thing I’ve added to that list is school. I’ve starting taking general ed classes at the local JC. I even got an A in my first writing class, but don’t expect to see higher quality posts than what was posted in the past. I can guarantee lots of posts with poor spelling, and numerous grammatical errors. That’s just how I roll!

While away I’ve been away I’ve been thinking of other blogs to start. Thought about starting a blog called “Weekend Rockstar” where I would post stories of experiences that my old band went through. I was even planning on giving little tips that could help a young garage band break out of the garage. I just couldn’t motivate myself to start it. The other blog I was thinking about, and it might still come to life, is a Daily Doodle blog. A blog where I would post a photo of a doodle each day. I’ve been doing a doodle each work day on my calendar. You can view them here to get the picture. This blog might still happen. Stay tuned.

Well, here we go. I’ll have a new post for you some time soon. Thanks for having me back.

Time to call it quits?

I think I’m done blogging. With facebook and twitter, what’s the point of a blog? I’ve ran out of things that I care enough about to blog them. I’ve also ran into the problem of work life vs. personal life. I’m in a more visible role at work, and for some odd reason my thoughts and opinions have more of an effect on people.

I do have an idea for a blog with a specific topic, but I’m not sure when I’ll get around to doing that… if ever. I am one lazy S.O.B.

If you care to stay in contact, than look me up on Twitter. If you can’t find me, than leave a comment or email me and I’ll send you a link.

Thanks for reading, and I hope time treats you well.

10 year high school reunion?

Mt. Diablo High School Class of ’99 is lazy. 2009 marks our tenth year anniversary of our high school graduation. Most people have reunions to show off what they been doing for the last ten years, or the lack there of. A glorious event where you can kiss hands and shake babies, or is it the other way around? It would be nice to see ex-classmates that I never really bothered to stay in contact with, but who has time now a days to plan something like that? Who’s supposed to head this reunion business anyway? Class president?

With all of that said… God bless Facebook! You want to know what good’ole what’s his face is doing? You’re just a few simple mouse clicks away from being smack dab in the middle of their world. Soon you will know their inner most thoughts, as we somehow forget to use external filters when it comes to status updates. I know I’ve been guilty of this almost on a daily basis. Because of this lack of filtration I’ve learned more about my ex-classmates from sites like Facebook than I did in four years of high school.

So, who needs face to face meetings? We are of the computer generation. This is what we’re supposed to do, right?

Happy tenth year anniversary MDHS class of ’99! Maybe we can get our shit together for the 20th, and actually see each other.

Safe journies,
Jimbo

Too much racket!

I hate silence. In fact, I would consider myself to be quiet phobic. So, its normal to find my surrounded by sound. TV, radio or any other background noise gets me through life. I’m not sure why the silence bugs me so much, but I find it hard to focus on anything other than the silence when it’s quiet.

breakroomToday is different. I would KILL for some silence today. Well… not TOTAL silence. Maybe just “less loud” would be good. For the third day in a row they are remodeling the office break room. My work time residence is directly on the other side of the wall they are working on. The best thing is when the WHOLE DAMN WALL rattles as they cut the copper pluming and the metal studs. You can feel the rattling in your chest. Its nerve racking.

I have two days before I start training a five and a half week new hire class, and I’m in crunch time. This distraction is even a bit much for me to ignore. Not even Lamb of God cranked up to eleven in my headphones can drown it out.
